Causes, effects, and prevention of environmental pollution.

Name: Picture cards in folders.

Aim: Speaking about causes, effects, and prevention of environmental pollution.

Materials:  Colored pieces of paper, marker, folders.

Duration: 10 minutes.

Objective of the game: The main idea is to enforce the topic being studied by speaking about causes, effects, and prevention of environmental pollution.

Introduction

The teacher introduces a selection of different types of causes, effects, and prevention of environmental pollution using a video in You Tube. Then the teacher gives the chance to students to mention some of environmental pollution they now about.

Preparation

1. First, in the broad there are going to be some folders with images and questions about effects, and prevention of environmental pollution inside. Students depending on the folder they pick will have to answer a question or make a comment about an image they will see inside the folder.

2. Second, the students are going to make a line in front of the class and pick a folder. Each student will have a folder with a image or a question inside.

3. Third, depending in the folder students pick they will have to answer a question or make a comment about an image related with the topic.

Play the Game

1. First, the teacher explains the activity to the class.

2. Second, the teacher asks students to stand up and make a line in the front of the class.

3. Then, each student will pick a folder.

4. Finally, all the students will answer a question or make a comment about the topic.

The questions students will find inside the folders:

·         Mention 3 effects of water pollution

·         Mention 3 causes of air pollution

·         Mention 3 preventions of environmental pollution.
