NATURAL RESOURCES AND THE PROMOTIONS OF CONSERVATION
Name: Let´s
go fishing.
Aim: Speaking
about natural resources and the promotions of conservation.
Materials: Colored pieces of paper, marker.
Duration: 10
minutes.
Objective of the game:
The main idea is to enforce the topic being studied by speaking about natural resources and the
promotions of conservation.
Introduction
The
teacher introduces a selection of different types of Natural
resources and the promotions of conservation using a video in YouTube
about the trailer of the movie Finding Nemo. Then
the teacher gives the chance to students to mention some of the natural
resources they can see in the video.
Preparation
1. First,
in the floor there are going to be some colored pieces of paper with the
picture of some of the characters of the movie finding Nemo. The papers will
have some questions students will have to respond. Then the teacher divides the
class in two groups.
2.
Second in
groups the students are going to take turns fishing for as many of the papers
as they can. Each student will have an opportunity to fish a question

Third,
the group that fishes the most papers will be the winner
Play the Game
1.
First, the teacher explains the activity to the class.
2.
Second, the teacher arranges the class into the 2 teams. Then ask students to
stand up and make lines in the front of the class.
3. Then,
for each team each student will have the turn to fish a question.
4. Finally,
the group that fishes the most papers will be the winner.
The
questions students will find in the colored papers will be:

Do you think people help with the
conservation of marine life?
·
Mentions 3 ways in which people can cooperate
with conserving the environment.
·
Do you think that the death of marine life is
caused by humans?
·
Mention some names of marine animals shown in
the movie
·
Do you think aquariums are a way to help with
the conservation of marine life?

Mention 3 actions of humans that destroy
marine life?
·
What positive message does the movie teach?
·
