OUTLINE 3 4 & 5

Life and achievements of famous athletes and musicians


Aim: Using reference materials to extend their range of language and improve accuracy.

Materials: cards, pictures
Duration: 10 minutes.
Language focus: Achievements/biographies,What does s/he play?,____ was born in ____.  ____started school..., Who is she ,Our main meal is.
- Identifying and describing people.


Aim of the game: write making use of new vocabulary.

Introduction
 The teacher will show the students a presentation of famous athletes and musicians.
Play the Game
1. The teacher give the students some cards with pictures of some of famous athletes and musicians.

2. Students will write at the back of the pictures  information of these  famous athletes and musicians using the vocabulary that the teacher show in the presentation.

3. Then the students will made a conversation about  famous athletes and musicians.

OPERATIONS OF ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT

Aim: Initiating and developing conversations.


Materials: cards, pictures
Duration: 10 minutes.
Language focus: Do you know how to ____? , Would you tell me...? How can I...?     Turn off, plug in/unplug, insert, etc.
- Identifying and describing electrical appliances.
Aim of the game: give instructions 

Introduction
 The teacher will show the students a video about the use of electronical devices and how to use them.
Play the Game
Call center.
1-    The teacher assign and electronical devices.

2-    The students will make a conversation.

3-    In this conversation one of them will be a client asking for help, and the other will bring technical support.

4-     The teacher gives a specific situation.

5-    Students work in pairs.

TRANSPORTATION, QUALITY, RENTABILITY AND USE

Aim: Producing short pieces of writing to convey information and opinion.
Materials: cards, pictures
Duration: 10 minutes.
Language focus: Is there a bus to...?, How can I go to...?, How are ____ transported?, Buses are cheaper than...,The most expensive is...? What time does the ____ to ____ leave?
Aim of the game: Asking for and giving information about means of transportation.

Introduction
 Students prepare a conversation in which they have to talk and compare some means of transportation.

Play the Game
1-    The teachers give the students some pictures with means of transportation.
2-    Pictures will have some characteristics of each means of transportation.
3-    Students in pares write a conversation comparing two different means of transportation using the vocabulary learned in previous class.
